Out-of-Network Billing at SB Physio
At SB Physio, we’re committed to providing the highest-quality care with clear, transparent communication. For many patients, that means using out-of-network (OON) or private-pay services.
What Out-of-Network Means
When SB Physio is out-of-network with your insurance plan, it simply means we do not have a direct contract with your insurer. You pay us directly at the time of service.
We provide you with an itemized receipt (superbill). You may submit this to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Any reimbursement is strictly between you and your insurer — SB Physio does not contact your insurance company or submit claims on your behalf.
Note for Medicare Patients
This information does not apply to Medicare. SB Physio has no relationship with Medicare, and you cannot submit anything for reimbursement.
Why Patients Choose Out-of-Network
Availability: In our community, in-network providers often have long waitlists. At SB Physio, out-of-network patients typically access care much sooner.
High deductibles: Many patients are surprised to learn they’re paying full in-network rates until their deductible is met. Out-of-network or private-pay can often be a more transparent and predictable option.
Stronger plans, stronger OON benefits: If your insurance is good in-network, chances are you also have meaningful out-of-network benefits.
Quality and time: We provide 40-minute, one-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, focused entirely on you.
Access to advanced services: From our Recovery Room treatments to Golf Performance and wellness classes, OON care gives you more flexibility than insurance typically allows.
What We Provide
Superbill: A detailed receipt for you to submit to your insurer if you choose.
Transparent pricing: Payment is due at the time of service, with no hidden charges.
Your choice: Whether you pursue reimbursement is up to you and your insurer.
Take the Next Step
If you’re ready to schedule out-of-network care with SB Physio, the process is simple: pay at the time of service, receive your superbill, and decide whether to submit it to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
